A few things to get the season rolling.
A real home for the men's golf calendar
The HMGA now lives at hiwanmensgolf.site. Five sections worth your bookmark:
Hud Dean Cup — the full format: three flights, auto-bid math from the majors, the new Safety Net Protocol, all four Hud Dean Cup Qualifiers, all three draft waves. Deep dive at hiwanmensgolf.site/cup.
Hud Dean Cup Standings — empty for now, but after each Qualifier and major, the leaderboards update automatically. By flight, with the cut line marked.
Schedule — the full 2026 men's calendar in one timeline. Majors, Hud Dean Cup Qualifiers, the Thursday League, the Maxwell Cup, every social event.
Thursday League — three monthly sessions starting in May. A session is one full calendar month — four consecutive Thursdays — with its own gross and net champions and payouts. Scramble in May, Best Ball in June, Alternate Shot in August. Partner format, 5 pm shotgun, $125 per session.
Committee — your five elected committee members, our charter, and what we're authorized to do.
Hud Dean Cup Qualifier #1 — Saturday, May 30
The road to the Hud Dean Cup roster opens in two weeks. Tee times 12 pm to 2 pm. Qualifying fees are waived for 2026. The big thing to know:
→ You must designate your flight when registering. · Championship — Gross from the Black tees · Premier — Gross from the Blue tees · Legacy — Net from your normal tees
If you're on the line between Championship and Premier, play the Black tees — your score is evaluated for Championship first, and if you don't make that cut it rolls down to Premier automatically. No risk to trying for the top flight. We're calling this the Safety Net Protocol, and it's new for 2026.

What to expect from this newsletter
Roughly one email per real HMGA event — no daily noise. After each Hud Dean Cup Qualifier: results and updated standings. After each major: who locked in an auto-bid. After each draft wave: roster moves. During Hud Dean Cup weekend (September 25–27): daily roundups. About 15 emails across the whole season. We'll keep them short.
